Three people were killed when an overspeeding motorcycle and a pickup van with an Indian number plate collided with each other at Itahari of Sunsari district of Koshi Pradesh along the East-West Highway on Saturday. There were four people riding on the bike.
 
Injured in the accident were rushed to Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, a symbol of Nepal-India Cooperation. Here three breathed their last during the treatment and the one critically injured is being treated here.
 
As per Police's preliminary investigation, the major cause behind the road accident was the overspeeding motorcycle and the police have taken the Indian driver from Darjeeling in custody for investigation.
