In Nepal, the National Assembly (NA) meeting scheduled for Sunday was postponed until 11:15 a.m. on Monday. The federal parliament secretariat shared this information through a notice.
Earlier, the National Assembly meeting was postponed thrice on Sunday.
Opposition lawmakers have been obstructing the parliament, demanding a reply from the Prime Minister on why he sacked the Managing Director, Kulman Ghising, at the Nepal Electricity Authority.
Kulman Ghising was sacked on March 25 and Hitendra Man Shakya was appointed as new Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
His oath was administered by Energy Minister Deepak Khadka on March 26.
The newly appointed Executive Director of NEA Hitendradev Shakya registered a writ in the Supreme Court to settle his 3-and-a-half-year-old case and seek service facilities for that period.
Kulman Ghising has even approached the Supreme Court following his dismissal as the Managing Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
