In Nepal, the monsoon winds continue to affect the weather conditions across the country. The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in some places of the country in the next 24 hours. Heavy rainfall is also expected to occur at one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces. Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued an advisory to take necessary precautions to avoid the risk of disasters like floods, landslides, and soil erosion in these areas.

An avalanche that occurred at Manapathi Himal in the Dhaulagiri mountain range of Mustang district on Tuesday evening led to the blockage of Bokshikhola. This poses a significant challenge for vehicular movement on the Beni-Jomsom road that lies along the Bokshikhola.
