Nepal-India Chambers of Commerence & Industry supports Indian investment for Nepal’s development

Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Nepal Deepak Khadka addressed the gathering at the 30th annual general meeting of the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI).  stressing that NICCI support to facilitate Indian investment and technical know-how for Nepal’s development is crucial to fulfilling the target of 10000 MW of electricity export to India. On the occasion, Ambassador of India to Nepal Navin Shrivastav said that India is Nepal’s largest development and trading partner. Nepal’s hydroelectric power trade is an important tool in bringing down any trade deficit between two friendly nations. The recent attempt to introduce digital payment in Nepal will boost Indian tourist visits to Nepal. India and Nepal will foster economic collaboration, with a focus on boosting trade, investment, and mutual growth. The newly elected president of NICCI, Sunil KC expressed plans to organize the Nepal-India Investment Summit every two years and work towards establishing a Nepal Innovation Centre in India to support startups and entrepreneurship.
