Nepal Agritech International Expo 2025 Concludes, Showcases Innovations in Agriculture

The three-day 7th edition of Nepal Agritech International Expo 2025 which started on 14th February, ends on Sunday. This is organised at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu, which witnessed thousands of footfalls. The expo aimed to create a platform to showcase and introduce the best and latest Agri inputs, products, services and technologies that would drive the agriculture of the future. This expo served as a platform to smoothen business-to-business networking and collaborations. With more than a hundred stalls and key representatives from government, industry, academia and the farming community in the expo, there were deliberations and identification of priorities in the agriculture sector of Nepal. Jumla mushroom that’s being sold in the international market at NPR 1900, popular aphrodisiac yartsagumba caterpillar fungus, sindhuli oranges, Ilam tea, East Nepal’s coffee beans and many local produce were for display and sale. In Nepal, over 80% of the population is involved in agriculture, constituting 38.7% of GDP. By use of agritechnology, food security is expected to be ensured in Nepal along with export adding to the economic growth of the Himalayan nation.
