The Athletics Federation of India announced today that Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will compete in the 27th Federation Cup National Championship 2024, to be held from the 12th to the 15th of May in Odisha.
The reigning Olympic and world champion in javelin throw will compete in India for the first time since his Tokyo Olympics gold. Before the Federation Cup, the two-time Asian Games gold medallist will participate in the Doha Diamond League on the 10th of May along with compatriot Kishore Kumar Jena, who won the silver medal at the Asian Games in Hangzhou last year.
This will be Chopra’s first domestic competition since the 2021 Federation Cup where his best throw was 87.80m.
