National Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar yesterday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of diverting people’s attention and ignoring fundamental issues that are plaguing the country. Addressing a public rally in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar claimed that elections are being conducted in five phases in Maharashtra so that the Prime Minister gets a chance to campaign more in the state.
Speaking in the same rally, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray claimed that the Narendra Modi government has betrayed Maharashtra. He apologized to the people for seeking votes for the Prime Minister in earlier elections.
