On World Environment Day, the Department of Botany at Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa, in collaboration with the Department of Energy and Environmental Sciences,  organized a national webinar with the aim of promoting sustainable efforts in environmental protection. The university spokesperson said that about 128 participants, including eminent scientists, academicians and scholars from renowned institutions of Haryana as well as Madhya Pradesh Central University and Indian Agricultural Research Institute and other states, attended the webinar.

International faculty from Iran and the US also participated in the webinar. The aim of this webinar was to meet the need for sustainable pest management solutions in areas facing environmental challenges such as water scarcity and aridity. Environmental issues related to the use of pesticides were discussed in the webinar.
