National Gallery of Modern Art to host exhibition on sidelines of G20 summit to showcase rare antiquities from across country

The National Gallery of Modern Art will host an exhibition – Roots and Routes, on the sidelines of the G20 summit to showcase rare antiquities from across the country. The Summit will be held on the 9th and the 10th of September at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. It aims to put India’s civilisation glory on the world map. The exhibition will display Indian antiquities and sculptures from various central government museums and galleries. The selection of artifacts was undertaken with a focus on historical significance, artistic merit, and thematic relevance. The spouses of G20 leaders will inaugurate the exhibition.
 
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Minister of State for Culture Meenakashi Lekhi said, India's heritage and culture are more than five thousand years old. She said, all the best art pieces have been brought together from across the country for the exhibition.
