National Doctors Day dedicates to honouring contribution and dedication of doctors toward well-being and healthcare of society

Today is National Doctors Day. The Day is celebrated across the country in memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal. He was born on the 1st of July 1882 and died on the same date in 1962. He played many roles such as a politician, a freedom fighter, and an advocate for education.

This day is dedicated to honouring the contribution and dedication of doctors toward the well-being and healthcare of society. Doctors are considered soldiers who do not fight at borders but save the lives of millions suffering from diseases.

They form a crucial part of society and we should remember their sacrifices. It is important to celebrate this day. During the pandemic era, Indian doctors led from the front when the world was shooting in the dark. Ultimately, Indian doctors and scientists managed to stem the massive spike of COVID-19 by indigenously invented vaccines and the proper application of suitable medicines.
