National Archives of India launched a book titled ‘Ramanujan: Journey of a Great Mathematician’ in New Delhi today. The book is a historical account that delves into the life and contributions of Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. It also documents Ramanujan’s journey, from his beginnings in Erode, Tamil Nadu, to his groundbreaking work in number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions. It also highlights how Ramanujan produced theorems and results that continue to astonish mathematicians worldwide.
The book is authored by Arun Singhal and Dr Devendra Kumar Sharma. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Mr Singhal said, Ramanujan was one of the greatest mathematicians the world has ever seen, and the book is going to inspire future generations.
