The nation is paying tribute to freedom fighter and the brave warrior of ‘Kakori Train Action’, Ashfaqulla Khan on his birth anniversary today. Union Home Minister Amit Shah paid tribute to freedom fighter Ashfaqulla Khan on the birth anniversary.
In a social media post, Mr. Shah said that Ashfaqulla Khan was one of the founders of the Hindustan Republican Association, who created fear among the British through the Kakori Train Action.
Mr. Shah added, his revolutionary thoughts and poems became a powerful medium to inspire the youth for the freedom of Mother India. The Minister said that the great revolutionary Ashfaq Ullah Khan, will always guide the youth on the path of patriotism.
Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal have also paid tribute to freedom fighter Ashfaqulla Khan.
Ashfaqulla Khan was born in 1900 at Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was a freedom fighter who actively fought against the British forces. Ashfaqulla Khan along with his friends had decided to form an organization named ‘Hindustan Republican Association’ in 1924 to organize an armed revolution to achieve the country’s freedom. He was hanged on 19th December, 1927 at the Faizabad Jail.
