Two out of three major US indices ended in positive territory yesterday, driven by gains in energy, communication services, and consumer discretionary stocks.

The Nasdaq Composite gained 0.6 per cent, the S&P 500 added over 0.3 per cent, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.13 per cent.
