Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh, today inaugurated the national-level workshop on the National Adaptation Plan on Climate Change. The workshop focused on engaging with stakeholders in identifying sectoral adaptation priorities and understanding regional vulnerabilities across various key sectors. During his address, Mr Singh said that the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) will be a cornerstone of the country’s march towards Viksit Bharat. Mr. Singh stated that India has taken an important role in tackling climate change. He highlighted that NAP will contribute to building resilience and reducing vulnerability to climate-related risks across various sectors, including agriculture, water resources, the Himalayan region, coastal regions, health, and disaster management.
