Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has inaugurated the exhibition on ‘Indian Heritage Through Architecture’ by the National Archives of India (NAI) in New Delhi today. The exhibition marked the 135th foundation day of the National Archives of India. Talking to the media, Mr Shekhawat said that NAI is currently working on the world’s largest digitization program, conserving over six lakh pages in a month and digitizing lakhs of them daily. Mr Shekhawat also said that the success of this digitization program has sparked the Gyan Bharatam Mission. He also lauded NAI for setting up the exhibition.
Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, Director General of the National Archives of India, Arun Singhal highlighted that the exhibition showcases the evolution of the architecture of the country. He added that the exhibition shows the journey of the country’s architecture from Ram Setu to the Central Vista Project.
