Nagpur: President Droupadi Murmu stresses that Indianness is our identity and we are identified as Indians in whole world

President Droupadi Murmu today said, it is very important to connect the young generation with the values of the Indian freedom struggle and to make them aware of the freedom struggle and the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. The president was speaking while inaugurating the cultural center of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Mahalakshmi Temple area of Koradi in Nagpur today.
 
The president informed, In the cultural center of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, the achievements of the unsung freedom fighters, the history of freedom struggle, and the contribution of Param Vir Chakra winners, have been presented in pictorial form. On this occasion, Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were mainly present.
 
This centre’s first floor has an attractive display of Ramayana in pictorial form while the heroic story of the freedom fighters from 1857 to 1947 is depicted through paintings on the second floor. While addressing the inauguration program, the President said that whether we live in the country or abroad, we are Indians first. Saying that it is a good thing that the young generation is connected with their native land and culture, even away from their birthplace, the President appealed to the people to use their mother tongue in their community and family. She also explained that one should study another language and culture but we should not forget our mother tongue and our motherland. She also stressed that Indianness is our identity and we are identified as Indians in the whole world.
 
The President also said that the tenacity of Lord Rama's values of life and the dynamic struggle of Rama's life are exemplary and inspiring for the entire mankind. On this occasion, the President inspected this cultural center and also offered prayers at the Mahalakshmi temple in Koradi. Officials of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, citizens were present on this occasion.
