In Nagaland, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) has been recognized as the best-performing hospital in Kohima district under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY).

The recognition was given during a program commemorating the 6th anniversary of PMJAY and the 3rd anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in Kohima today.

Speaking at the event, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Kohima said, that Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and its components, aim to meet the United Nations’ sustainable development goals by ensuring no one is left behind in accessing healthcare services.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Kohima said that in Kohima district, there are currently four empanelled public hospitals and five private hospitals under the scheme. He said that Naga Hospital Authority Kohima has the highest registration and transaction under PMJAY, with 2,558 patients treated and 1,601 beneficiaries registered.
