In Nagaland, the 15-day Jal Utsav was launched today at Kiphire, one of the 20 Aspirational Districts, to raise awareness about water conservation and management. Various activities, including cleaning of public and private water resources, seminars, capacity building for self-help groups (SHGs) on water asset maintenance, water quality testing training, tree plantations, and awareness camps on waterborne diseases, will be held during the fortnight festival.
