Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan on Wednesday ( 13 September 2023) said that Ayushman Bhav is a revolutionary initiative aimed at providing healthcare access to every citizen of the country. He said this while officially launching Ayushman Bhav Campaign at Raj Bhavan in Kohima.

The Governor opined that Healthcare is a fundamental right of every individual and that it is the duty of a welfare State to ensure that no citizen is deprived due to financial constraints. He, therefore, expressed hope that Ayushman Bhav will boost health service delivery in the State. He also urged all citizens, civil society organisations, and private sector entities to actively participate in making Ayushman Bhav a success.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed confidence that the launch of this programme will bring the State closer to the objective of achieving Healthy villages based on the principles of leaving no one behind. 

Health Minister P Paiwang Konyak also spoke on the occasion. A pledge on Organ Donation was administered by Principal Director of Health Dr. Ritu Thurr.
