Nagaland Chief Minister launches inaugural season of Nagaland Super League 2025

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio officially launched the inaugural Season of Nagaland Super League 2025 on Tuesday. All together seven teams are taking part in the Super League and each team has 30 players, out of which six are guest players. The matches will be played every Wednesday and Saturday at IG Stadium, Kohima, and Chümoukedima Stadium and run through March 31. Speaking at the grand opening ceremony last evening, Mr Rio called upon the sports persons to be focused, disciplined and to have determination to achieve excellence so that Nagas also come to the map of football. The Chief Minister also handed over a cheque of Rs. 1.5 crore to Arjuna Awardee H. Hokato Sema. All India Football Federation President Kalyan Chaubey lauded the Nagaland Football Association and the Nagaland government for launching such a significant league which will change the future of Nagaland in the field of sports. In the inaugural match,  Barak Football Club defeated Nagaland United Sports Club 3-2.
