Naga Civil Societies submits joint memorandum to Amit Shah appealing to repatriate illegal immigrants to their country of origin

Naga Civil Societies consists of the United Naga Council, Naga Women Union Manipur, All Naga Students Association Manipur and Naga People’s Movement for Human Right (south) submitted a joint memorandum to Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealing to repatriate the illegal immigrants to their country of origin as their prolong stay is likely to cause disturbances in the area.


The Naga Civil Societies in the memorandum said that  5457 Myanmarese have been temporarily taking refuge in eight Tangkhul Naga villages of Kamjong district of Manipur in the aftermath of the coup in 2021 in Myanmar.
