The Opposition bloc INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) is holding a two-day meeting in Mumbai to discuss its plans for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Ahead of the meeting today, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference and hit out at the NDA Government at the Centre over the alleged Adani group controversy. The alliance is likely to announce a coordination committee, a logo, and panels to draft a common minimum programme for the alliance. It is speculated that discussions will also include seat-sharing among other issues.
Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M K Stalin, Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechuri, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, General Secretary of Communist Party of India D Raja, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and other leaders are participating in the two meetings being held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai.
