As part of Puneet Sagar Abhiyan, a mega beach cleanup activity was organised by Nation Cadet Corps cadets at Girgaum Chowpatty, Mumbai after the completion of Ganesh Visarjan.
 
Similar beach cleaning was undertaken on the Juhu beach, which was organised by Amruta Fadnavis Divyaj Foundation, in collaboration with Asif Bhamla’s Bhamla Foundation and the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.
 
Renowned Bollywood celebrities Manushi Chhilar, Rajkummar Rao, Jackky Bhagnani, Isha Koppikar, Saiyami Kher and others participated in the beach cleaning campaign. Tourism and Skill Development Minister of Maharashtra Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Speaker of Maharashtra Assembly Rahul also took part in the activity along with thousands of Mumbaikars, including dedicated volunteers, team members, school and college students.
