In Mumbai, five labourers fell into an open drain near Sewri Gadi Bunder in Sewri area this morning. Repair work of the box drain was being done when the incident happened.

Officials from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said, Mumbai Fire Bridges, police, ambulances, and ward staff were mobilised and all the labourers were rescued. However, one of the injured labourers was declared dead on arrival to the KEM hospital. Bmc officials informed that one labour is reported to be in a critical condition, while others are stable.
