Africa India Key Maritime Engagement (AIKEYME), a multilateral exercise, will begin tomorrow in Tanzania. This six-day exercise will conclude on the 18th of April. It aims to develop collaborative solutions to common regional maritime challenges. The exercise will witness participation from Comoros, Djibouti, Kenya, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, and South Africa. The Indian Naval Ships INS Chennai, INS Kesari (a Landing Ship Tank), and INS Sunayna will take part in the exercise. The harbour phase of AIKEYME 25 will include an inauguration ceremony and a deck reception. While, the sea phase, scheduled from the 16th to the 18th of April, will focus on strengthening maritime security cooperation among the participating nations.
