World Skills Competition: MSDE organises send off ceremony for Indian contingents in New Delhi

The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) today organised a send-off ceremony in New Delhi for Indian contingents who will showcase their talent in the World Skills Competition in Lyon, France. The largest contingent, comprising 60 participants, will compete in 61 categories against the best from over 70 countries. The Indian contingents will leave for France on Friday, and competition will be held from 10 to 15 September at Euro-Expo Lyon.

 

Addressing the contingents, Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary extended his best wishes for success to the young Indian contingent during a send-off ceremony as they prepare to represent the nation at the biennial WorldSkills competition. Mr. Chaudhary expressed confidence that India will be in the top 10 rank in the World Skills Competition.

 

At the WorldSkills send-off ceremony, Indian Olympians Vijender Singh and Aman Sehrawat and actor Sharman Joshi shared their journey and experiences to encourage and motivate young competitors to follow their passion and craft their paths.
