In Madhya Pradesh, heavy rainfall has created a flood-like situation in many districts. Heavy rain has been continuing in the capital, Bhopal since this afternoon. The Narmada River is flowing above the danger mark at Rajghat in Barwani district. Due to rains in Sagar, water-logging has been reported at many places. Shivna river in Mandsaur and Bina river in Raisen are in spate. In Tikamgarh, water has been released by opening the gates of Ban-Sujara dam on Dhasan River.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in 23 districts for the next 24 hours. An orange alert has been issued warning of heavy rain in 11 districts, including Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Betul, Shivpuri, Sheopurkalan. A yellow alert has also been issued for 12 districts. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is likely to continue for the next 3-4 days.
