In Madhya Pradesh, counting of votes for the Amarwara assembly by-election began at 8 am today. The counting is being conducted in two halls of Government PG College Bhawan, Chhindwara. A three-tier security arrangement has been ensured at the counting venue.
17 tables have been set up for counting the votes cast in EVMs and 4 tables for counting of postal ballots in 332 polling stations of Amarwara assembly seat. Counting will be completed in about 20 rounds. More than 78 percent of voters had cast their votes in Amarwara on July 10. A total of nine candidates are in the fray in Amarwara.
