MP: Congress fields Nakul Nath against BJP’s Bunty Vivek Sahu for prestigious Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat

In Madhya Pradesh, Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat remains a prestigious seat for both the BJP and Congress parties.

More than 16 lakh voters will decide the fate of 15 candidates for this seat in the first phase on 19 April.

Akashvani Correspondent reports that a total of 15 candidates are trying their fate in Chhindwara. Congress has fielded Nakul Nath, son of sitting MP and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, while BJP has given a ticket to Bunty Vivek Sahu. Apart from the candidates of Bahujan Samaj Party, Rashtriya Gondwana Party, Gondwana Gantantra Party, and Republic Party of India, seven independent candidates are also in the fray.

Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency consists of seven assembly seats. The total number of voters in Chhindwara is about 16 lakh 28 thousand. In fact, except for one Lok Sabha by-election in the last 44 years, Congress or rather Kamal Nath has dominated in this seat. In the last Lok Sabha elections also, BJP had won 28 seats out of 29 in the state except Chhindwara, hence this time Chhindwara has become a most important priority for the BJP. BJP hopes to win all 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh for Mission Char Sau Paar.
