A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara and Airbus in New Delhi in the presence of Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Addressing the gathering, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said when Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, his vision was for the university to become the biggest source of talent for the entire transportation industry in the country and for the world.
Speaking about the MoU, the Railway Minister said that we want the GSV to work closely with the industry. He added that the signing of the MoU between Airbus and GSV is the first step in this regard. He added that MoUs with eight more large companies including Alstom and Siemens are in the discussion stage.
Prof. Manoj Choudhary, the Vice Chancellor of the GSV and President of Airbus India Rémi Maillard signed the MoU. The MoU is aimed at enabling the co-development and co-delivery of sector-relevant skilling, courses and programmes for regular students and working professionals, joint research and industry experience for faculty, internships, placement for students and scholarship programmes.
