Union Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Tourism, Suresh Gopi, today visited Niuland district in Nagaland.
During the visit, the minister held discussions with various departments and interacted with the leaders of civil societies. He reviewed the implementation of centrally sponsored schemes on the ground and called for expediting schemes still pending.
Acknowledging Nagaland’s wide potential for tourism and its resources, the minister highlighted the need to address certain constitutional and revenue issues.
Mr Gopi urged everyone to work together, deliberate and assess the capacity works of the departments for rapidly executing schemes in the days ahead.
Later, the minister visited Government High School Nito at Nikhekhu village, where he interacted with school authorities and students.
