Minister of State for Statistics and Programme Implementation and Corporate Affairs, Rao Inderjit Singh arrived on a three-day visit to Sikkim’s Pakyong district to review centrally sponsored schemes. Mr Singh interacted with officials, Zilla Upadhyaksha Prabha Pradhan, Additional Political Secretary to Sikkim Chief Minister, Bishal Sharma and progressive farmers of Pakyong district. The minister suggested to focus on tourism and agriculture which have a huge market in Sikkim as the state is blessed with natural resources.
Tomorrow, Mr Singh will visit Basilakha and Dikling villages in Pakyong district to interact with progressive farmers, inspect ICDS and government schools and review government projects and schemes sponsored by the central government.
