Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai today said that the government has taken several steps to secure the coastal area. Replying to supplementaries during the question hour in Rajya Sabha, Mr Rai said, a total of 204 Maritime Police Stations have been opened near Coastal areas across the country. He said, Coastal Security training academy has been opened in Gujarat to train security personnel. The Minister said, three layer security is in place for coastal areas.
