Minister of State for Highways Harish Malhotra today flagged off the 7000 km long ‘Vayu Veer Vijeta’ car rally from Thoise in Ladakh on the occasion of Indian Air Force Day. The rally features various Air warriors of the Indian Air Force and veterans from the Uttarakhand War Memorial.

The IAF-UWM rally is being led by Wing Commander Vijay Prakash Bhatt of IAF adventure cell. The car rally will move via Kargil, Srinagar, Jammu, Dehradun and culminate in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh on 29th of this month.

The aim of the rally is to raise awareness among the people about the glorious history of IAF; the deeds of valour of the air warriors in different wars and rescue ops; and attract the youth to serve the motherland.
