Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary today observed that the country's robust economy is helping to generate immense job opportunities for the youth. Noting that India has become the fifth-largest economy in the world, he said , it is marching forward to be the third-largest economy by 2047.
Mr Chaudhary was addressing a function in Kochi to mark the distribution of appointment orders to new recruits in various central government institutions.
The programme was organised as part of the nationwide Rozgar Mela, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated from New Delhi, virtually.
Noting that manufacturing sector and tourism are the biggest job generators, the Minister said the union government has evolved an ecosystem, which has acted as a catalyst to boost economic activity. He observed that government jobs will remain limited, however, the Centre has initiated several steps to generate employment.
The Minister urged new recruits to treat their assignment as an opportunity to serve.
Mr Chaudhary distributed appointment orders to 130 persons on the occasion.
