More than one lakh posts are vacant in Para military forces of the country: Govt in RS

More than one lakh posts in different categories are vacant in the Paramilitary forces of the country and this year 1126 posts have been filled up.
 
In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra informed that the Ministry of Home Affairs, its organizations including CAPFs (such as Border Security Force, Sashastra Seema Bal, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, Assam Rifles and Central Industrial Security Force) and Central Police Organizations (including Delhi Police) has approximately 1,14, 245 vacant posts at present. He said that Out of these posts, 3075 are in group ‘A’, 15861 are in Group ‘B’ and 95309 are in Group C’. Of these, 16356 posts of Scheduled Castes, 8759 posts of Scheduled Tribes, 21974 posts of Other Backward Class, 7394 posts of economically weaker section, and 59762 posts of general category are vacant.
 
He further added that In 2023, advertisements for about 31879 posts have been published out of which 1126 have been filled up. The Ministry reviews the recruitment progress regularly to ensure that vacant posts get filled up in time bound manner.
