More than 91 percent of cane dues have been cleared in the ongoing sugar season. This was stated by the Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. She said, government has taken various policy interventions to facilitate payments of outstanding dues to the sugarcane farmers. Ms Jyoti said, more than 99.9 per cent of cane dues have also been cleared for the previous sugar season 2021-22.
