Income Tax Department has said that more than 6.50 crore Income Tax Returns have been filed so far. It said 36 lakh 91 thousand ITRs have been filed till 6 PM yesterday. The IT Department said that over 1.78 crore successful logins on the e-filing portal were registered yesterday.  In a tweet, it extended its gratitude to taxpayers and tax professionals for helping reach the milestone of 6.50 crores. It has urged all those who have not filed ITR for Assessment Year 2023-24, to file their ITR.
