During the five-day long session, the proceedings were marred due to protest by opposition over the demand for the resignation of deputy chief minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav and the issue of 10 lakh government jobs committed by state government. The opposition BJP also raised the issue of domicile in the ongoing BPSC teacher recruitment drive and demanded a reply from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

On the last day, ruckus continued in both the Houses of the state legislature as the BJP members trooped into Well and started sloganeering against the Nitish government. They registered their protest by putting black scarves over the Lathi charge incident.
