The much-awaited Monduro 4.0, the world’s highest enduro mountain biking race and a part of the Asia Enduro Series (AES), kicked off in the scenic town of Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The event was officially flagged off this morning by Tawang MLA Namgey Tsering and Tawang Brigade Commander Brigadier VS Rajput. Organized by the Tawang Cycling Association in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, Monduro 4.0 features a challenging course that starts at an altitude of 14,400 feet and descends to 8,000 feet, making it one of the toughest races in the world. This year, participants from across India, as well as from eight countries abroad, are competing. To help riders acclimatize, organizers have scheduled practice races on November 10 and 11, ahead of the final race on November 13 and 14.
