Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L. Murugan said that after the Prime Minister was sworn in for the historic third consecutive term the Government has proved that it is working for the benefit of the farmers, women, youth and the poor. Speaking to the media at Tiruvannamalai yesterday, the Minister said it is very heartening that the first scheme during the third term of the Modi Government released the 17th instalment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. He assured that the amount would go a long way in handling their expenses towards agriculture and asserted that the farmers could depend on this scheme and avoid securing loans from private lenders.
