BJP Other Backward Castes OBC Morcha Chief Dr. K Laxman has said that Narendra Modi Government has taken several steps for the upliftment and empowerment of the OBC community in the last nine years. He thanked the Prime Minister for PM Vishwakarma Yojana saying it will benefit the OBC community. 

Briefing media in New Delhi today, Dr. Laxman said, eighteen traditional trades will be covered in the first instance under PM Vishwakarma which include Carpenter, Boat Maker, Blacksmith, Goldsmith, Potter, Sculptor, Cobbler, Mason, Barber, Washerman and Tailor. He said, first time in the history of the country 27 OBC Ministers are part of the Union Council of Ministers. 

Dr. Laxman said, 27 per cent reservations for OBCs in central educational institutions benefit the Students of the community. He said, Modi Government gave constitutional status to the National Commission for Backward Classes NCBC. Dr Laxman said, BJP OBC Morcha will celebrate Vishwakarma Jayanti and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Birthday on the 17th of next month. He said, many social programmes will be held on that day.
