A massive social service was taken out on Monday by the staff and employees of Akashvani Aizawl, Mizoram. The social service, which is called “Hnatlang” in Mizo is a part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, Director (E) and Mizoram Cluster Head D.R Lalropuia exhorted one and all to give utmost importance to cleanliness and encouraged the public to uphold a clean environment and surroundings for a healthy society and the nation. He led the participants in taking the Swachhata Pledge, affirming the commitment to a clean and healthy society.
Cleaning of office rooms and premises of Akashvani Aizawl, including roads and nullah was taken out throughout the day. The nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva campaign is being run from the 15th of September to the 2nd of October. The theme for this year’s campaign is “Garbage Free India”.
