Major Asian indices displayed mixed trends today. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index dropped over 1.6 percent, China’s Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.9 percent, and Singapore’s Straits Times Index ended down by 0.37 percent. Meanwhile, Japan’s Nikkei rose over one and half percent, and South Korea’s Kospi gained over 1.1 percent. Major European indices were trading with gains. Germany’s DAX was trading over 1.2 percent up, France’s CAC rose over 0.8 percent, and London’s FTSE gained more than 0.4 percent, when reports last came in.
