The Ministry of Ayush will celebrate 9th Ayurveda Day at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in New Delhi on 29th October. This year the day is being celebrated around the theme Ayurveda Innovations for Global Health. Over 150 countries across the globe are to join this year’s Ayurveda Day celebrations. MoS Ayush Prataprao Jadhav said that Ayurveda Day has now become a global movement. He also highlighted that the theme of this year’s Ayurveda Day celebrations gives new dimensions to the contribution of Ayurveda to global health. He said that the government’s aim is to promote Ayurveda globally as a robust system of medicine for the welfare of the public.
Talking about the latest initiatives of the Ministry, he said that Ayurveda knowledge is made conveniently accessible to the public through digital platforms under the umbrella of Ayush Grid, including major initiatives such as the Ayurgyan Scheme, the Ayush Research Portal, and the Namaste Portal. Mr. Jadhav emphasised that Ayurveda is recognised in as many as 24 countries across the globe, while Ayurveda products are exported to over 100 countries.
