Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU), Karnal, has been honoured with the prestigious Best Horticulture University Award. This accolade was bestowed by ‘Krishi Vyapaar Shikhar Sammelan and Puraskar  Sanstha’ at an event in Hyderabad, underscoring MHU’s exemplary contributions to  the remarkable advancements in horticulture.

A University spokesperson said that in recent times during research on biological microorganisms MHU scientists have identified many good microbial-related bio-inputs. These can be successfully used in the field of horticulture to produce safe and quality crops. Their use will reduce the need for chemical fertilisers by 20 to 25 percent in the fields. Due to these achievements, the ‘Krishi Vyapaar Shikhar Sammelan and Puraskar Sanstha’ have honoured MHU by awarding it the Best Horticulture University Award.

The entire team of MHU is continuously striving to reach the advanced technologies used in the field of horticulture to the farmers and the main objective of MHU is to boost quality production.
