In Uttarakhand, the Weather Department has issued a red alert for very heavy rainfall in isolated areas of seven districts and an orange alert for the rest of the state. Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Pauri, Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, and Haridwar.

The district administrations have declared a holiday today for all schools and Anganwadi centres up to Class 12. The Disaster Management Department has also instructed all related agencies to ensure preparedness and complete necessary arrangements.
