Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign: Large number of people and students take part in several programmes held across Telangana

As part of the Nationwide Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign, a large number of people and students have taken part in several programmes held across Telangana yesterday. Nehru Yuva Kendra, NSS, and educational institutions took active part in the Meri Mati Mera Desh programmes while security forces and freedom fighters were felicitated. Activities like planting saplings took place vigorously. Local public representatives participated in the programmes.  

In Hyderabad, Nehru Yuva Kendra organised the Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign at the Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet and felicitated several brave hearts. Tributes have been paid to the brave hearts who laid down their lives for the country under the slogan, ‘Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron ko Vandhan’. The campaign will continue till the 30th of this month. At Several places memorial plaques and Shilaphalakams have been set up dedicated to freedom fighters and security forces. Initiatives like the Panch Pran Pledge, Vasudha Vandan, Veeron ka Vandan which venerates the gallant sacrifices of Bravehearts held.  On this occasion Assistant Commandant, CRPF Chandrayangutta A K Pandey, Assistant Commandant, CRPF Deepak, and Havaldar Vinayaka Pandurangam were felicitated.

Similar activities have been held across the state with much enthusiasm. Central Bureau of Communication of the ministry of Information and Broadcasting in coordination with the CRPF and State government planted saplings felicitated family members of soldiers and organised a rally at Kamalapur Village in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.

NYK Mahabubnagar organised the programme at Chowdarpally Gram Panchayat and people in large numbers participated in it.

Nehru Yuva Kendra held Meri Maati Mera Desh Program at Waghapur in Adilabad district. Army Serviceman P. Ganesh and retired postman P. Reddy have been felicitated and Panch Pran Pledge was administered on the occasion.
