Along with other parts of the country, the markets of Punjab are also coloured with attractive colours these days for the festival of Holi. There is full enthusiasm among the people to celebrate the festival of Holi with great pomp and everyone is eagerly waiting for this festival. A Report says, all the small and big markets in different parts of the state including Jalandhar are filled with red, gulal, green and yellow colours these days. People are busy buying these colours along with their children. There are many types of attractive pichkaris available in the markets which are liked by the children.

With the passage of time, the trend of herbal colours is also increasing and many non-government organizations are engaged in making people aware about the use of herbal colours. Herbal colours are considered quite safe from a health point of view and hence people are also giving priority to buying herbal colours. The process of playing Holi with colourful flowers in temples has been going on for the past several days.
