Domestic benchmark equity indices today soared over two per cent, fueled by buying across sectors. The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 1,961 points, or 2.54 per cent, to close at 79,117, while the NSE Nifty50 jumped 557 points, or 2.39 per cent, to settle at 23,907. The broader market at the Bombay Stock Exchange also ended in positive territory. The Mid-Cap index rose over 1.2 percent and the Small-Cap index gained 0.9 percent.
